My own personal work has focused on promoting the SCY Business Mentor Service. I have written press releases, edited brochures and spent a lot of hours across various social networking sites – all in the name of work, I promise!

Stepping Out of the Festival Spotlight

Well the festival came. It exploded on to the scene in a burst of varied and vibrant events, exciting and colourful activities, and devastatingly charismatic presenters. And then it went; leaving in its wake a blur of bright lights and a host of very happy, albeit extremely tired, SCY staff.

I have now been at SCY for just over a month. I have perfected the early morning commute, although still occassionally grind my teeth at delays to my journey home (cows genuinely invaded the line at Northallerton in January, disrupting all North and South bound trains for over an hour).

Hello all, my name is Becky and I am the new Marketing Assistant here at SCY. I'm happy to say that everybody has been absolutely lovely and I feel quite at home already. My first week has been something of an education – I am now brimming over with all my new-found knowledge of science cities and the role they play in promoting the UK as a world-leading centre for research and enterprise.
