SCY Membership: Bioscience Perspective

I'd like to remind any companies out there who haven't yet registered as paying members what SCY can do for you!

The first major benefit which I'd like to explain is that SCY have a place on the Innovaro Pharmalicensing website specifically for our members to use until March. The deal we have got for members represents a value of £270 per month! Innovaro is a global opportunity advertising website. It originally started out as a website that pharmaceutical companies could use to license out their products but has quickly branched out into medical devices and biotechnology. Some examples of the technologies being advertised on the site include; a virus and protein biotinylating system for the production of proteins (Kings College London), drug delivery biomedical polyers and collagen-based dressings for wound care.

The second direct benefit for paying SCY members is £50 worth of value from the Leeds Central Library Patents and Trademark Services (whilst stocks last!). This allows you to direct a search for patents through the databases to which the Leeds Central Library has access, which is comprehensive. Spend it how you like, on a keyword search or a request for patent documents! The third direct benefit is access to the member section and forums on SCY, which allows you to showcase your business, contribute to the discussions around future events and advertise resources needed or available so that youcan save or make money during slack times or busy.

The member discount to all our services and events is also worth shouting about. There will be a discount for everything we do and it can be up to 20%. We are also working hard on an SRG fee discount to make recruitment cheaper for you, journal access for half price academic articles and R&D tax credit help.

On top of this you'll get closer to our business mentor program (free mentoring if you're eligible) and first access to events and event reports. We've also got close links with the council and can represent your needs at the highest level.
