Screen Yorkshire Announces New Board Structure

Screen Yorkshire has appointed three new Board Members, including Sarah Doole, Creative Director for Drama and Head of Indie Drama at BBC Worldwide, as it embarks on delivering the £15m Yorkshire Content Fund for TV, film, games and digital.

New State-of-the-Art Accommodation for York St John

Planners have granted the go-ahead for developers to begin work on York St John University’s latest student accommodation in the city.

The £12 million development will provide state-of-the-art accommodation for 258 students within a 10 minute walk from the University’s main campus on Lord Mayor’s Walk. Work will begin at the site on Carmelite Street in July, ready for students to take up residence in September 2013.

Chance: A Revolution in Digital Storytelling

Inspired Youth are the brains behind a new project called Chance which is set to be a revolution in digital storytelling.

A public exhibition of the artwork will take place over the 12th, 13th and 14th of June at York St John University in partnership with the Child & Youth Policy Unit.

On the evening of the 14th June, 4.00pm - 7.00pm, there will be a project launch event and live debate around the issues the work has raised.

Badrilla Launches Excellent New Antibodies for Cell Biology Research (Anti-GFP, C-MYC, MBP & GST)

Badrilla Ltd., a member of the Science City York bioscience network, has launched a series of antibodies for fundamental cell biology research. Badrilla has launched an outstanding antibody to GFP (green flouorescent protein) - the technical data for which can be viewed here and in the coming weeks will launch other leading antibodies to epitope tags, including c-myc (monoclonal antibody 9E10), MBP (maltose binding protein) and GST (glutathione-S transferase).
