Newly formed, this brings together the region's food and farming networks, Science City York, FERA and Newcastle University, National Innovation in Livestock and Crop Protection Centres, the region's LEPs and more.
Stimulating Innovation in the Agrifood Sector (SIAFS)
ERDF funded project with FERA.
The aim of this project is to stimulate economic growth in two LEP areas, enabling agri-food sector SMEs (“from field to fork”) to engage with applied research and innovation expertise, facilities and the global networks based around Fera and the National Agri-Food Innovation Campus.
Science City York supports the life sciences. We host events, encourage collaboration and improve communication between our stakeholders.
Equine Technology Crossover Project in Partnership with Askham Bryan College
Thirty people attended a two day Equine Technology workshop to plan a prototype for a new equine tech product. Through the workshop the following projects were created:

The creative industries are thriving in York, take a look below to see our involvement.
Plans for the inaugural festival include major light commissions alongside interactive pavilions and exhibits that utilise the beautiful backdrop of our city. Its 10-day programme will be underpinned by year-long development activity with schools, communities and businesses.
We supported the bid writing process which secured the money needed to enable the festival to take place in 2018.
The Guild of Media arts was formed in 2014 as the lifelong custodian of York’s designation as a UNESCO City of Media Arts.

We want to make sure tech is at the forefront of people's minds when they think about York. This event engages people, starts conversations and provides fab networking.
