Do you need help and advice? We are offering free support for businesses in our local area.
From April 2017, employers with a wage bill of more than £3 million will have to pay a 0.5 per cent levy to fund apprenticeships. Through funding from the Skills Funding Agency we are offering free support to businesses of all sizes to help grow the number of Higher Level Apprenticeships and support the effective recruitment of Higher Level Apprentices in the Bioscience, IT and Agriculture sectors.

What is a HLA?
A Higher Level Apprenticeship is a degree level, nationally recognised qualification designed to give employers an alternative to graduate recruitment. Apprentices are employees who receive work-based training linked directly to practical experiences ‘on-the-job’.
What support is available?
We can offer support in a variety of ways, including: signposting the most useful websites and resources, explaining the HLA process, arranging meetings with local training providers, showcasing employers who have successful HLA programmes and facilitating access to existing Apprentices who can speak about their experience.
Working with employers and our partner organisations we want to help identify and remove barriers to recruitment and provide support, guidance and information which will allow employers to work with local training providers to successfully recruit and train Higher Level Apprentices.
