On Monday 31st October we held a meeting to unveil the new Local Area Team model that City of York Council’s Children and Families Service has been working towards and will be in place from January 2017. A pdf outlining this new model is attached along with a Powerpoint of the presentation.
Local Area Teams will put in place a new streamlined programme of grants and commissioning arrangements. This will replace the existing funding of Shine, Early Intervention Fund, parenting commissioning, Better Play Grants* and Yor-Part. In the interim we now have a funding opportunity for all partners of voluntary, charity and non-profit organisations who are working to improve the lives of children and families. We are offering funding up to £5,000 for projects that meet the outcomes of the new Local Area Team model. There is a total of £75,000 available. An application form is attached, please see the information within it for more details along with the guidance form.
*Current Better Play Grant funding agreements will remain until 2018.
This round of funding will be followed by a further event in January 2017 where the full grants and commissioning programme for April 2017 onwards will be launched. We will contact all attendees and publicising this event so please do keep an eye out for details.
